Angélica Pérez-Castro

Angélica Pérez-Castro is a cinematographer and steadicam operator from Puerto Rico, currently based in Atlanta, Georgia. Her fascination with the art of cinematography flourished during her childhood, inspired by her early journey in painting and exploration of black and white photography. This passion led her to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from La Escuela de Artes Plásticas in San Juan, Puerto Rico, followed by a master's degree in Film and Television from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).

As an active member of the industry, Angélica holds the position of camera operator within the IATSE Local 600 and is recognized as an associate member of the Society of Camera Operators. Her dedication to her craft has been recognized through her selection for the ASC Vision Mentorship program in 2021 and participation in the AFI cinematography intensive in 2022.

Angélica's portfolio spans a diverse range of projects, including contributions to television shows and films featured on major platforms such as Netflix, Fox, Amazon, HBOmax, and Hulu. Additionally, her work extends to numerous independent productions showcased at film festivals worldwide.

Passionate about the artistry of cinematography, Angélica finds joy in capturing moments both on land and underwater, with a particular fondness for the tactile nature of shooting on film. Her commitment to pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling continues to drive her forward in her career.
